The course is designed to keep delegates up to date with developments in the law from April 2011 and covers all aspects of the criminal process from investigation to final review, including developments in legal aid and costs, criminal law, procedure, evidence and sentencing. A review of all relevant case law will be included.
Details about the Speaker:
Anthony Edwards is a duty solicitor, a supervisor for very high cost criminal cases and Senior Partner of TV Edwards LLP, London. He is a higher courts advocate in the criminal courts. He has substantial experience of acting in protected witness cases, including the largest in recent years. He is a member of the Council of Justice and of the Editorial Boards of Criminal Law Review and Cordery on Solicitors. He is also a member of the Law Commission’s Advisory Panel on Criminal Law. He writes and lectures widely on criminal law. He is a visiting professor at Queen Mary, University of London. He was named Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year 2008.
