This year actually marks the 140th anniversary of our practice. As part of the commemorations the firm has arranged a number of events, one of which is to be a sponsored Walk to Work.
The walk is a little longer than you might expect as it starts in Scotland!
In essence Craig Morris one of the Partners and his colleague Clive Monaghan will commence the walk at Gretna on Monday 12th September hopefully arriving at our office here in Silverwell Street on Friday 23rd September. The route in part follows the Settle to Carlisle railway line through the Yorkshire Dales and has been estimated at just over 140 miles from start to finish.
We are hoping to raise a fairly substantial amount from the same and the firm has identified 5 local charities with whom we have connections to receive those donations. They are:- Bolton Hospice, Bolton Crossroads, Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Birtenshaw School and St Luke’s Church Drop in Centre.
We want to appeal to the general public, local business, suppliers and to some of our own commercial clients to see if you would kindly consider making a donation of £140 or more towards the fund.
We intend to promote the walk on our website, Twitter, on our flat screen in reception and possibly by way of a brochure. We are happy to incorporate your details on some of the same if you so wish.
We very much hope that you feel able to assist us in generating funds that will go back into worthy causes within the local community.
