Notable Cases
V (2019) – Instructed on behalf of a company in defence on a personal injury claim. The matter was defended in a forthright manner resulting in the Claimant discontinuing their claim in advance of the trial.
S (2019) – Acted for a landlord of a commercial premises that was left in disrepair by a previous tenant. Successfully obtained an agreement for full amount of the dilapidations schedule to be repaid including costs.
C (2018) – Successfully recovered possession of a residential property on behalf of the registered owner from a long term resident. The occupier of the property initially claimed a beneficial interest and refused to leave the property. Appropriate arguments made on behalf of the client resulted in the resident conceding possession without the need for Court proceedings.
P (2018) – Acted for a landlord of commercial premises to seek rent arrears from a tenant who defended the matter to trial. Successfully obtained a Court order for full rent arrears, costs of repairs, interest and the client’s costs on the indemnity basis.
P (2017) – Acted on behalf of a Defendant in breach of contract proceedings. The matter was successfully defended at trial with the judge striking the opponent's claim out before the Client had to give evidence.
N (2017) - Instructed on behalf of an executor in proceedings started by a beneficiary who was disputing the distribution of the estate. Assisted in defending an application made by the beneficiary which the Court dismissed and the claim stood struck out.
