"First class professional service"
Where/when you studied: I studied my LLB Law (Hons) degree at Leeds Beckett University from 2016 to 2019 and am currently studying my LPC with an MSc in Law, Business and Management at The University of Law, Manchester
Professional expertise before joining the firm: Before joining the firm I worked as a New Client Handler at a Leeds based firm where I took instructions from clients making a new enquiry and allocated this to a solicitor. I have undertaken work experience at city firms where I applied my knowledge from university into practice areas such as employment law, clinical negligence, criminal law and personal injury disputes. Finally I have shadowed a High Court judge where I observed the skills acquired to be a professional advocate.
When you joined the firm: I joined the firm in June 2019 as a summer vacation scheme intern. I was then employed as a Paralegal in September 2019.
Department responsibilities (within the firm): Assist the commercial department with commercial property transactions. My main duties are to draft legal documentation, liaise with clients, solicitors and third parties, and undertake post-completion duties such as submitting stamp duty land tax returns and to deal with the Land Registry.
