Cyclist Claims

Cyclists are one of the roads most vulnerable users and according to the ‘royal society for the prevention of accidents’, in 2016, 18,477 cyclists were injured in reported road accidents and out of those 18,477, 3,499 were seriously injured.

You may have a claim if you have been injured in a cycling accident as a result of someone else’s negligent/reckless behaviour on the roads. You could be entitled to compensation if, in the last 3 years, you have been injured and it wasn’t your fault.

You may be eligible if the accident was caused by another vehicle that is at fault, defective equipment or the cycle lanes/ roads are in poor condition. The compensation you may receive could help cover the costs of recovery from the accident.

In order to make a cycling accident claim, the solicitors at Fieldings Porter will look to find a direct link between the injuries you have suffered, and the accident. You may be able to claim for different kinds of injuries, including visible injuries such as bruising/broken bones as well as psychological injuries as long as they are a direct result of the accident.
